Welcome to our pre-launch webpage! Emmaus Church is a brand-spanking new church in the Woodinville/Bothell area. We think you’ll love the feel of the church…cool, contemporary, and relevant.

Join us for our new message series called “Living Generously: TIME  TALENT  TREASURE.  There we’ll learn that since everything is God’s, he owns everything…we just borrow what’s his.  You wouldn’t believe how FREEING it is to live on borrowed time, live on his money, and use the talents he’s given!

We meet every Sunday evening for the “unplugged” version of our preview services.  We’d characterize this time as laid back, fun, and a greenhouse for learning about life, faith, and Jesus.

You may have received one of our postcards in the mail recently and we’re thrilled that you’ve chosen to visit our site!  Many people know that the church isn’t perfect… and we’d agree.   But people are the church and because people are imperfect, so is the church.  But God already knows that.

We are excited to invite you to a “sneak-peak look-in” service on July 27 at 6:30pm at the Northshore YMCA in Bothell!  You can expect us to work out a few wrinkles in our service, but, we think you’ll find it encouraging.

What kind of church is Emmaus (pronounced E-may-us)?

Emmaus Church will be a place that you can bring your friends to and not be embarrassed. Don’t dress up. Don’t dress down. Just come as you are. We are a community Christian church. You don’t have to fit into a mold here.  Although we are distinctly Christian, we love to hear everyone’s stories.

Our Story

Emmaus Church was birthed in the heart of Gary Chupik, our lead guy, in 2005. Gary didn’t dream about starting a church his whole life, but knew his life would continue to be characterized as “restless” until he lived out his passion. So, leaving a fantastic church in Salem, OR (Court Street Christian Church), Gary set out for Seattle in pursuit of the dream in the summer of 2007 to start Emmaus Church.
